Yoga with Amber
Grounded movement. Thoughtful sequencing. Space to breathe.
Yoga found me long before I ever imagined becoming a teacher.
I first discovered it in high school after wanting to try it for years. Eventually, after getting my license and building up the courage to go alone, I nervously walked into my very first class carrying a cheap, poorly made yoga mat and a whole lot of social anxiety.
But somewhere within the first twenty minutes, something shifted. I remember feeling this vibrating energy moving throughout my body afterward. Grounded and alive in a way I had never experienced before. I knew immediately that I had fallen in love with the practice.
From then on, I attended classes regularly whenever I could. As I grew older, became a mother, and life became fuller and more demanding, my practice ebbed and flowed over the years. I would return to yoga during pregnancies, stressful seasons, or moments when I felt disconnected from myself, but it wasn't always consistent.
Then Village Yoga opened in Kinderhook, NY, and everything changed.
Not only did I rediscover my practice there, but I found an incredible sense of community. By the summer of 2025, I was practicing there daily, immersing myself in the experience both on and off the mat. During that time, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training, learning to move through the anxiety, self-doubt, and fear that once made walking into a studio alone feel impossible.
Now, I feel deeply honored to share these practices with others. My classes are rooted in the belief that yoga is for every body. Not because we master poses perfectly, but because we continue showing up for ourselves exactly as we are.
Come Practice with Me!
I currently teach Community Yoga classes on select Wednesdays at Village Yoga.
Class dates vary throughout the year, so the best way to stay informed is to check the studio schedule or follow me on social media for upcoming offerings.
